Andrea Joy Cook

A.J. Cook is most well-known for her work as an Canadian actress who appeared on The Virgin Suicides (1998) and Final Destination 2(2003). In addition, she played Jennifer "JJ" Jareau on the TV drama Criminal Minds. Cook's TV credits include Dead Like Me, Tru Calling, Higher Ground, Bluemoon, PSI Factor, Goosebumps, Elvis Meets Nixon, In His Father's Shoes, Laser Hawk and the film for television Island Heat. She has also appeared on Blood Suckers II and The House Next Door. Cook was raised in Whitby the city of Ontario. She was raised from her mother and father, Sandra and Mike who were both teachers at school. She was raised with her brothers, Angela Nathan as well as Paul. She is a Mormon and is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In her early years, she picked the ballet, tap and jazz lessons. There were many dance contests however it wasn't until she reached 17 years of age when she began to consider acting. Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze inspired her to be an actor. Cook was married to boyfriend Nathan Andersen in August 2001. Cook was introduced to Nathan Andersen at Utah Valley University and took the film course. They have one son: Mekhai Allan Andersen was born 13 September 2008. She lives in Los Angeles
