Biles and the younger of her sisters Adria was adopted from Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles' grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston region), grew up there. Simone was introduced to gymnastics by her daycare instructor Aimee Borman, when she was six years old. She was a student at Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles won the vault and floor exercise at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships before moving up to the highest level of competition in 2011. A year later, Biles dominated the sport. Biles was notable for her constant performance her enthusiastic attitude as well as the amount of difficulty that she included in each event--vault bar, uneven bars, balance beam and ground work.
